"Get Your Plate in Shape" is the theme for National Nutrition Month in March.

It is also the theme for our annual Nutrition Awareness Day event at our luncheon sites, senior, adult and community centers.
Watch for the menu and events that will take place in our communities and neighborhoods on that day.
Many Preventive Services and Screenings are now covered under Medicare.
Our Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) provides a single, coordinated system of information to connect older adults and persons of all ages with physical disabilities with the resources they need to live with dignity and integrity. For questions about eligibility, access to services, options counseling and program enrollment, call toll free 1-866-644-6407 and ask to speak to our ADRC staff.

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY - Visit the new Mill Race Center, a community center for active adults, open Monday - Thursday 6:30 am to 9:00 pm and Friday 6:30 am to 5:00 pm.
DECATUR COUNTY - Visit the Greensburg Adult Center, 905 E. Main St., for physical fitness programs every Thursday at 9 am. The first Thursday of the month, Decatur Home Health Care provides free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings.
JACKSON COUNTY - Take advantage of Senior Grocery Shopping transportation every Thursday after lunch at the Seymour Community Center, 107 S. Chestnut St., Seymour. Bridge and Euchre are played every Monday from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. For more information, call 812-523-3681.

If you are living with an ongoing health condition like diabetes, high blood pressure, pain, fatigue, stress, the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program offers you practical information, tips and encouragement.
